About Teva
Teva invented the sport sandal in 1984 when a Colorado River guide strapped a flip-flop to his foot with a watch band so it would not wash away. Deckers has held the brand since 2002. The design added a heel strap to a sandal, which is what allowed it to stay on in moving water.
