About Carr's
Carr's has made water biscuits and table crackers in Carlisle since 1831, and its Table Water biscuit is the standard cracker served with cheese in Britain. It is one of the oldest biscuit brands still in production anywhere. The company was founded by a Quaker miller who installed one of the first steam-powered biscuit machines in Britain, and it held a royal warrant from Queen Victoria onwards.
