About Hoegaarden
Hoegaarden is a Belgian witbier revived in 1966 by Pierre Celis, a milkman who had worked at the village's last brewery before it closed and rebuilt the style from memory using wheat, coriander and orange peel. The style had been effectively extinct, and the revival led to its worldwide return.
