J.M. Smucker completed the acquisition of Hostess and Twinkies on 7 November 2023 for $5.6 billion, buying from Hostess Brands.[1]
J.M. Smucker acquired Hostess Brands for $34.25 per share in cash and stock, adding Twinkies, CupCakes and Donettes to a portfolio built on coffee, peanut butter and pet snacks. Smucker outbid several other packaged food companies for the business.
