Expedia Group completed the acquisition of Vrbo on 15 December 2015 for $3.9 billion.[1]
Expedia acquired HomeAway, owner of the Vrbo vacation rental marketplace, for about $3.9 billion in cash and stock. The purchase gave Expedia a whole-property rental business as Airbnb grew.
