Asahi Group acquires Peroni and 2 other brands (2016)

Asahi Group completed the acquisition of Peroni and 2 other brands on 11 October 2016 for €2.55 billion, buying from AB InBev.[1]

AB InBev sold Peroni, Grolsch and Meantime to Asahi as part of the divestitures required to obtain competition clearance for its acquisition of SABMiller. It was the Japanese brewer's first substantial European business.
